Review
I really enjoyed watching Xmen First Class and felt Matthew Vaughn did a great job directing it. It was a surprise to me that for Days of Future Past, Bryan Singer directed instead. Singer did a good job on the first 2 Xmen movies but sadly the last one (Last Stand) was directed by an imbecile instead. After watching DOFP, I have to admit it was a pretty enjoyable movie despite a few flaws here and there.
Casting for DOFP was pretty good. you get to see the old cast as well as the new ones as well and it was nice seeing a few cameos as well. As usual, they had to let Wolverine take the main lead but he wasn't so bad this time round.McAvoy and Fassbender were just as fantastic as young Professor X and Magneto from first class. As much as I enjoy watching Jennifer Lawrence and I find her a pretty good actress, to me she just doesn't cut it as Mystique. Maybe its cause she looks too nice whereas the Rebecca Romijn looked perfect as Mystique as she had that evil yet sexy look about her. The one character to me that stole the show was Quicksilver. His scenes were funny and memorable. Even with that ridiculous fake wig, he was great. Good thing is he wasn't featured throughout the whole movie but just enough.
Direction was pretty good and I like the flow of how the movie went. Editing was smooth as well and CGI was good and not too much as the focus was more on the story instead. I still did not like the new sentinels look as they looked like that fire breathing thing from Thor only in black this time. The older sentinels looked way much better. One of the flaw was what happened to the other sentinels when one got destroyed by Magneto? And that look patrick Stewart gives when he talks to Hugh Jackman at the end. He looked like he just came in his pants. And my favourite line which I kept saying was when Magneto leaves at the end. Goodbye, old friend. That was just too cool.

DOFP was a good and enjoyable ride and the after credit scene which shows the new villain for the next X men movie is gonna be epic.

Logan: [to young Magneto] So, you always were an asshole.

Pietro Maximoff: [to Erik] They say you can manipulate metal. My mom used to know a guy who could do that.

Erik Lehnsherr: We have fifteen seconds before the door open, and then guards will come through that door.
Pietro Maximoff: Should be fun. I'm holding you so you won't get whiplash.
Erik Lehnsherr: What?
Pietro Maximoff: Whip... lash.

Erik Lehnsherr: They'll come after me. You know that.
Professor Charles Xavier: I know.
Erik Lehnsherr: Goodbye, old friend.
Professor Charles Xavier: Goodbye, Eric.
